Dagogo-Jack Resigns For Guber Race …PDP Commences Sales Of Forms

Taskforce on Power, Mr Bekinbo Dagogo-Jack, announced his resignation and intention to contest for the Rivers State governorship position come 2015.
Dagogo-Jack said he would contest the position on the platform of Peoples Democratic Party.
Dagogo-Jack, who has been a member of the PTFP since inception in 2010, said he decided to join the governorship race after wide consultations with his principals and relations.
“I am resigning my position as the Chairman of the Presidential Task Force on Power effective October 19, 2014. I did so after wide consultations with my principals and with those I have relationship with. This was done in good faith because I shall be presenting myself as one of the aspirants for the office of governor of Rivers State on the platform of the PDP for the 2015 elections,” he said.
Meanwhile, the Rivers State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP) says it has commenced sale of its intent and nomination forms to its members aspiring for elective positions on the party’s platform.
The PDP, in a statement issued by the State Chairman, Bro Felix Obuah and signed by his Special Assistant on Media, Jerry Needam advised members interested in running for the Senate, House of Representatives and State House of Assembly to purchase the respective forms accordingly from the state party secretariat.
The statement further advised all those aspiring for the offices of the President and Governor to collect their Intent and Nomination forms from the National Secretariat of the party in Abuja.
According to the party’s statement, the form for all primaries will be on sale at the national and state offices until October 30, 2014, and advised all interested members to purchase the forms accordingly.
