Chukwumerije Harps On Igbo Nation
The senator repre
senting Abia North Senatorial District, Comrade Uche Chukwumerije, yesterday declared he will use the rest of his political life to protect “the Igbo nation” from being truncated .
Senator Uche Chukwumerije, who stated this while presenting his 12 years score card of stewardship at the senate before PDP state executives in Umuahia, commended them for being resolute.
According to him, the unity of the party in the state no doubt has brought focus on the affairs of their legislation, particularly the National Assembly lawmakers from Abia State extraction.
Apart from other constraints, Senator Chukwumerije said if given another mandate in 2015 as senator, he would focus on industrialisation of a power hydro dam and the establishment of an airport within Uturu/Ohafia axis, aimed at promoting businesses and commerce in Abia State.
Responding shortly after the presentation of scorecard, the state PDP chairman, Senator Emma Nwaka, commended Senator Uche Chukwumerije for his good representation at the National Assembly.
Promising a level playing ground on the forthcoming party primaries, Senator Nwaka said the PDP family would ever remain grateful to him for attracting numerous investments not only to his senatorial zone but to Abia State as a whole.
While he solicited for prayers for a peaceful conduct of the 2015 election, the party stalwart warned its executive members against being used as political agents, saying , anyone caught will be shown the way out.
