Buhari Declares Presidential Ambition, Oct 15
The official declaration by former Head of State, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari for the 2015 presidential election, under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has been shifted.
The event, which was earlier scheduled to hold today, will now hold on October 15.
This is contained in a terse statement issued yesterday by the National Coordinator, Muhammadu Buhari Presidential Campaign Organization, Dr Audu Ogbeh in Abuja.
The statement reads: “The formal declaration ceremony by General Muhammadu Buhari (rtd.) of his intention to contest the 2015 Presidential Election on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has been postponed by one week.
“The declaration earlier scheduled for Wednesday, 8 October 2014, will now hold on Wednesday, 15 October, 2014, at the Eagle Square, Abuja.
“All earlier arrangements remain the same.
It would be recalled that Buhari, had last week, addressed over 66 groups of supporters of his presidential ambition in Abuja, where he charged them to be civil in their activities, and avoid utterances capable of overheating the polity.
Buhari also tasked his supporters not to insult any other presidential aspirant, whether in APC, PDP or any other party in the Interest of peace and mutual concord.
