Bank Plans Investors’ Conference
The First Bank of
Nigeria (FBN) Capital Limited, an asset management subsidiary of FBN Holding Plc has concluded plans to host the 4th edition of its annual investors conference.
The conference is scheduled for next month in Lagos with the theme, “Lifting the Lid on Emerging Nigeria.”
According to a release by the host made available to newsmen, the conference will focus on the recently rebased GDP of Nigerian economy and how investors and stakeholders can tap into the potential that the new data present.
The Managing Director of FBN Capital, Mr. Kayode Akinkugbe, said the conference would consider how Nigeria can capitalise on the recent GDP rebasing which has propelled it to the position of the largest economy in Africa.
Akinkugbe also noted the need to shine the spotlight on previously under-represented fast-growing sectors of the economy, focused by the recent rebasing.
The statement said that the conference would be handled by Honourable Minister of Trade and Investment, Mr. Olusegu Aganga, the Minister of Communication Technology, Mrs. Omobola Johnson, Central Bank of Nigerian (CBN), Mr. Godwin Emefiele, among other stakeholders in the financial sector.
