…Arrest 13 Kidnappers

In its efforts to rid the
state of kidnapping and other anti-social activities, the Rivers State Police Command says  it has arrested 13 suspected kidnappers, 15 armed robbers and recovered over 60 ammunitions as well as motor vehicles.
Giving the breakdown of the command’s score card in the month of October 2014, covering 1-15th, the Police Public  Relations Officer, Ahmad Mohammed averred that the command was determined to rid the state of crime.
According to him, it is pertinent to highlight some of the breakthroughs the command recorded  with the period under review adding that the command arrested 13 kidnap suspects, 15 armed robbers, 46 ammunitions, seven fire arms, seven vehicles and dynamites cortes were recovered.
The police image maker used the opportunity to inform members of the public  obout the new technique employed by criminals to drain their victims’ bank account by keeping them hostage and use their ATM Cards to withdraw money from their accounts.
“Each victim regains freedom only after his or her bank account has been exhausted and advised members of the public to exercise caution when moving with their ATM Cards on them.
