Miss Ghana contestant who shot to fame after a big screen role in “Princess Tyra” and “playboy “ is a Ghanaian actress, model, film producer and entrepreneur. She has become a house hold name on the African Continent. The award winning actress has proved her versatility by starring in a broad range of Ghanian and Nigerian movies including “Princes Bride”, “Girls Connection”  “play boy” and “Golden Adventure”.
After her first lead role in the film “Princess Tyra,” Nelson shot about five more movies before she went to Nigeria to shoot her first collaboration with Genevieve Nnaji in 2007 which launched her career in Nollywood, since then Yuonne Nelson has shot close to 100 movies in Nigeria, Ghana, Ivory coast and other countries. She produced her first movie.” The price” in 2011 followed by “Single and Married’ 2012 which won multiple awards.
Her next production was “House of Gold” 2013. “Single married and complicated” her sequel to “single and married”  premiered recently, August 15 at the silver bird galleria in Lagos. She founded the Yuonne Nelson Glaucoma Foundation in 2010, she has won numerous awards including Joy Fm Nites Stars Best Actress in 2009.
Other awards include favorite Actress at the Ghana movie Awards and the face of Ghana’s Best Actress 2011/2012 in the USA. She has also been nominated twice at the African  movie.
