NCC Boss Emerges As New CTO Chairman

Chairman of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), Dr Eugene Juwah, has emerged as chairman of the Executive Committee of the Commonwealth Telecommunications Organisation (CTO).
This was gathered in a monitored news by our reporter recently in Port Harcourt.
According to the report, he took over the mantle of leadership from a Kenyan Mr Juma Kandie at its Annual Council Meeting in Dhaka, Bangladeshi
The new CTO boss, who expressed happiness over his emergence, said he would work with all stakeholders in the industry in a bid to attract change.
Juwah, also noted that efforts would be made towards guiding management in its ICT 4D efforts, adding that he would assume office on behalf of West African countries.
The report also showed that Juwah was the first vice chairman of the organisation (CTO), hinting that he has over 30 years experience in IT and telecommunications industries.
The Tide learnt that his new position has something to do with his initiation of the mobile number portability (MNP) and that of the introduction of emergency communication services.
Other achievements accredited to him, include SIM card registrations and broadband access expansion in the country.
In his address, the immediate past chairman of CTO, Mr Kandie, reassured the organisation of his promise to ensure that Juwah succeeds as the group’s new leader.
He also called on all concerned bodies to support the new leadership in order to prove its worth in the telecommunication industry.
