Imo Hosts APC Lecture Series

Sixteen Governors of All
Progressives Congress (APC) in the country will arrive Owerri, the state capital, to continue their lecture series on Progressive Governance.  The governors are coming on the aegis of the Progressive Governors Forum, which has the Imo State Governor, Chief Rochas Okorocha, as chairman.
A release by the Senior Special Assistant (Media), Sam Onwuemeodo, explained that the governors would arrive Owerri on Sunday (today), while the third lecture series proper would take place on Monday, September 1, at the Government House Owerri.
According to the release, the chairman of the epoch-making event will be the former Vice president of the country and APC Chieftain, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, while Prof. Ijeoma Joy Okoye of the Department of Medicine, University of Nigeria, will be the Guest lecturer.
The Special Guest of Honour would be the National Chairman of APC, Chief John Odigie Oyegun, while the theme of the lecture is “Dealing with the Challenge of Building Physically Healthy Nation through preventive, protective and Innovative medicine.”
The Discussants at the lecture series would include, the Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babatunde Raji Fashola; Prof. Oyewale Tomori, president of the Nigeria Academy of Sciences and Dr. Nasir  Sani Gwarzo, an International Health Consultant.
