Bewarang Gets Death Threats Over Exposè On Giwa
The chairman of the Ni
gerian Coaches Association, Bitrus Bewarang, has revealed that he has received various death threats since he presented a government White Paper, which indicted Chris Giwa.
“I have received various threats to my life through telephone since on Friday when I made public a White Paper, which indicted Giwa during his time as chairman of Plateau United,” former national team coach Bewarang disclosed.
“I have reported the matter to the police.”
Bewarang, who is the general manager of Plateau United, had warned last Friday that his life was no longer safe after his expose against Giwa at a public hearing before the committee on sports of the House of Representatives.
Giwa was indicted by a fact-finding panel set up by the Plateau State Government for mismanaging the funds of Plateau United in 2004.
He has variously denied this indictment.
