APC Investigates Andoni Chapter Chairman
The Rivers State
chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) is to investigate the statement credited to the chairman of Andoni Local Government chapter of the party, Hon. Victor Ere who allegedly described the Deputy National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Prince Uche Secondus as the political leader of Andoni.
Speaking in a telephone interview with The Tide, the state chairman of the APC, Dr Davies Ibiamu Ikanya, said that the party has commenced investigation into the matter.
Dr. Ikanya said that the APC believes in fair hearing and would give the parties involved the opportunity to state their case before taking action.
Ere was quoted to have said during the commissioning of Ward 5 office of the APC at Ikuru Town, Andoni, that Prince Secondus was the political leader of Andoni.
According to Ere, Prince Secondus was responsible for the empowerment of many people in Andoni, including himself warning that Andoni people should not allow themselves to be deceived as Prince Secondus would continue to remain the father of politics in Andoni.
“A father gave birth to all of us and ask us to work with the son, being the deputy governor. That means that the father, the son and the Holy Spirit bring us as one.
“Andoni people should not deceive themselves as Prince Secondus empowered all of us including me” he allegedly said.
Efforts to reach Hon. Ere for comment proved abortive as his contact could not be reached.
