ANAN Tasks Accountants On Cashless Policy

The Association of
National Accountants Of Nigeria (ANAN), has tasked accountants in the country on the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) cashless policy initiative in the country.
The president of ANAN, Alhaji  Sakirudeen Labode, stated this while addressing newsmen in Lagos, on Friday, after the formal  inauguration of Professional  Women Accountants (PROWAN).
Labode urged female accountants to take a lead role in educating their fellow women about the benefits and  challenges of the cashless policy initiative in Nigeria.
He said members of  the newly formed association are in position of trust to always uphold the ethics of the profession, advising them to shun all forms of harassment and intimidations in the discharge of their duties .
The ANANs’ President said that there is no doubt that Nigeria’s female population is a powerful hidden engine for economic growth of the country, stressing that as professional women, they should ensure that  enlightenment campaigns on the cashless policy are taken to the grassroots for minimum understanding  and effect.
He urged them as female accountants to play a key role to tackle corruption and engender transparency and accountability.
