2015: Group To Mobilise Support For APC
A social-political
organisation in Rivers State; the Pilot group has pledged to moblise the people of the State to support the All Progressive Congress (APC) in the forth-coming general elections.
The newly elected Chairman of the group, Barrister Asimia Opirite who disclosed this in an interview with newsmen during the inauguration of the executive in Port Harcourt said that the group would establish its presence in all the Wards and units of the state.
Barrister Opirite said that Bilboards declaring support for the All Progressive congress (APC) will be mounted at strategies positions across the State.
According to him, the Pilot group would mobilize its Local Government Executives to form a think-tank to campaign for the APC, stressing that after the elections the Pilot Group would also work with the government to ensure that fufilment of promises to the people.
“The focus is that APC shall win election and form the government and services will be rendered to the people.
The Pilot Group Chairman also used the occasion to Thank the leadership of the All progressive Congress in the State for its focused and purposeful leadership and pledge the support of the Pilot Group.
Also speaking, the outgone Chairman of the group, Hon. Hones Odum said that the group has come to stay, stressing that effort must be made to ensure that it made a difference in the politics of Rivers State.
The outgone Chairman also called on members to give the news executive the maximum support to enable its succeed.
The State Secretary of the group, Hon. Imie Benson Alpheus also called for support to both the group and the All Progressive Congress.
