2014 Abolga Unity Cup Enters Semi-Finals
Four teams, Johnson
Football Club, Net bombers Football Club, United Brothers and Bright Stars FC have all qualified for the 2014 Abua/Odual Unity Cup Semi Final stage.
The President of Abolga All Stars, the organisers of the tournament, Deacon Solomon Igbowibo, said that the semi-final stage will commence tomorrow with Johnson EFC locking horns with Net Bombers FC, while on Sunday, United Brothers FC would face Bright Stars in the second semi-final match.
Last Saturday, Johnson E. FC defeated Home Boys Nationale FC 2-1 to qualify for the semi-final, while Unity Brothers beat Achievers FC 3-0.
In other quarterfinal match played last Sunday, Bright Stars FC beat White Eagles 3-0 and Net Bombers FC ran over Egbolowi FC 2-0.
Igbowibo who commended the quality and discipline that have been evident at the competition stated that the finals of the tournament would come up next week, which he said would attract more sports lovers across the various local government areas in the state.
