Victims of fraud have
embarked on manhunt on Chukwumah Ogbonna and Fred Amadi who allegedly conspired to defraud them of N4 million for purchase of land.
The Tide gathered that land fraudster conspired to sell two plots of land which is not their own, within the Rumuekini area of Akpor kingdom.
It was gathered that one of the alleged fraudster, Fred Amadi claimed to be the owner of the land, while Chukwumah was the acclaimed agent that linked the victims to the business.
One of the victims who interacted with The Tide, Jude Okeke said that agent, Mr Chukwumah fraudulently obtained N2,000.000 in three installments from him, which he claimed to have paid to the land owner.
He said that he trusted him, being that he is a broker on land, and that since he could not pay the cost of N2,000.000 for one plot of land, he decided to pass through an agent who knows better about the land.
After a while, Okeke said, he could not hear from the agent, and that coin-incidentally, he came in contact with one Rosemary Okoh who was also looking for the same agent for the preparation of necessary documents for the same land, he (Okeke) had paid for.
According to him, it became clear to them that they have been duped, as they could neither find the agent, nor the claimed owner of the land, adding that they have already collected N4 million from them for one Plot of land.
According to the two, alleged fraudsters are at large, while their victims have vowed to stop at nothing in ensuring that they recover their money.
