PHIA Manager Canvasses Support For New FAAN Managing Director

Manager, South South /South East, Mrs Ebele Okoye, has called on staff of FAAN in the reigon to play their part and give adequate support to the Managing Director / Chief Executive of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), Mr Saleh Dunoma.
Mrs Okoye stated this at the 5th Regional General Meeting of the region held at Osubi Airport, Delta State recently.
She congratulated the Airport managers in the region for improving the drive for revenue generation and collection which had led to a sharp increase in the revenue profile of the region over what it was in 2013.
According to her, the region had done well in almost all areas of airport operations but noted that it could still do more because the facilities are getting better by the day.
Mrs Okoye highlighted numorous achievements recorded in the region which had culminated in the region winning awards from private organisations which had taken notice of the new lease of life at the airports in the region.
She said the recently held NIGAV conference held in Calabar, capital of Cross River State, the region won two out of the three awards available.
The awards that went to the region include: The most prestigious Regional General Manager in FAAN that went to Mrs OkOye and the Best Airport manager in the country that was won by Alhaji Mahhmoud Sani, Airport –Manager, Margaret Ekpo International Airport Calabar.
The RGM also hinted that two other organisation  namely Port Harcourt weekly watch newspaper based in the Niger Delta region recently gave Mrs Okoye an award for Excellence performance, she was also admitted as a fellow of the Institute of Corporation Administration.
Mrs Okoye added that the region had promoted FAAN well through the impact it made in passenger movement  and increase in revenue 2013 which was far above that of the previous year.
She thanked the airport managers for dedication to duty, exhibition of loyalty to FAAN and team spirit which they displayed throughout the past months that she had been in-charge of the region.
