Monarch Advises Rivers Politicians Against Unguided Utterances
Politicians in Rivers State
have been told to guide against utterances capable of endangering the 2015 general elections in the state.
The Paramount Ruler, Rumuobochi Community in Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of Rivers State, HRH, Eze Dan C. S. Okene gave the advice over the weekend, when the All Progressives Congress (APC) stakeholder. Sin the area led by Chief of Staff, Government House, Chief Tony Okocha paid him a courtesy visit, during the inauguration of the party Ward 4 Secretariat in the area.
Eze Okene condemned the reckless and inflammable utterances by some state politicians in recent time, saying such utterances portrayed bad signal for the state and democracy.
Eze Okene said, he and his people in the community would never support any political party or governorship aspirant that lacks political decorum.
He commended Governor Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi for his maturity in handling the crises in the state, saying Amaechi’s administration can not be compared to any past administrations in terms of development in all areas.
Chief Okocha had earlier said, the party’s visit to the paramount ruler was to obtain permission and royal blessing to inaugurate the Ward secretariat in the community.
