All is not well within
the Nigerian Civil Service Union (NCSU), Rivers State Chapter as leadership crisis tears the once united union apart.
Some of the union members are allegedly accusing the union state chairman, Comrade O. T. Lilly-West of corruption and imposing himself on the union despite the dissolution of the state executive council (SEC), by the national secretariat of the union.
One of the union members who spoke to The Tide on condition of anonymity said, the SEC of NCSU has been dissolved and the election scheduled the previous week was botched.
The source said, there was no election where Comrade Lilly-West was re-elected as the state chairman of the union.
The source said, “Comrade Lily West has no authority to summon congress meeting as he was allegedly doing.”
The union member called on Comrade Lilly-West to rather render account of his stewardship than acting contrary to the provisions of the union’s constitution.
However, all efforts made by The Tide to speak with the embattled union leader, Comrade Lilly-West proved abortive as The Tide was told he was not on seat in office.
But a reliable source close to the embattled union leader denied all the allegations against Comrade Lilly-West insisting that he still remains the state chairman of the union.
It would be recalled that the state chapter of the Nigerian Civil Service Union (NCSU) has been embroiled in leadership crises over the past three years with court cases injunctions  and counter injunctions against its leadership.
