Chairman Orders Restriction Of ‘Okada’ In ONELGA

The Chairman of
Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni LGA (ONELGA) Hon. Austin Ahiamadu has ordered the restriction of commercial motor-cycles popularly called Okada in the Egi axis of the LGA within the hours of five O’clock in the evening to seven O’clock in the morning.
Hon. Ahiamadu who announced this in a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Peter Henry-Dee, said operations of Okada will now be from seven O’clock in the morning to five O’ clock  in the evening daily, beginning from Tuesday, August 12, 2014 and will last till further notice.
The ONELGA Chairman said the decision was taken to check insecurity in Egi Clan of the LGA. Especially during the period of the annual festival of the Egi people which began on August 13, 2014.
Hon. Ahiamadu called on security agencies in the area to enforce the new order to ensure a peaceful celebration.
