Angels Coach Blames 2-1 Loss On Officiating

ers Angels Football Club of Port Harcourt Edwin Okon has blamed his sides 1-2 loss to Osun Babes FC of Oshogbo to poor officiating.
Okon who said this shortly after one of the week 18 matches of the on-going 2014 Nigeria Women Premiere League (NWPL) played Sunday in Osun State, said that the game was badly officiated.
“This is the worst officiating I have ever experienced. They do not get such treatment when they come to play in Port Harcourt”, Okon said.
The Coach described Rivers Angels as a big team pointing out that some of the players are on national, assignment adding the development has not affected the team in any way. He however said that fatigue affected the players following the fatigue federations cup game.
Meanwhile, Osun Babes opened score in the 69th minute from a goal mouth scramble by baniyat Adeleke, while Ebere Orji equalized four minutes later from a corner taken by the Angels Ngozi Ebere.
Angels Kept hoping to stretch their lead on the NWPL table with an away point, but Mary Fanki, wrapped up the game for the homers with a deflected shot from the Angels defender Oyinyechi  Ohadugha, with two minutes to regulation time making it difficult for the table topprs to have a come back in the game.
