Rivers Angels Ready For Confederation Cup

The assistant coach of
Rivers Angels FC of Port Harcourt Whyte Ogbondah has said that the team has trained for the 2014 confederation cup expected to hold tomorrow.
Coach Ogbondah, who disclosed this, in an interview with Tidesports in Port Harcourt said that the team would be playing in the second round of the competition against T- OP FC of Lagos State.
“Though, our centre has not been known, but, we know our opponent, we would not be in the first round of play because, we are on standby”, coach Ogbondah said.
According to him, the team embarked on a week solidarity break for the on-going. Brazil 2014 FIFA World Cup, adding that Rivers Angels concluded intensive training to fortify the team for the task ahead.
He noted that the team has four outstanding matches including the week 16 fixtures of the on-going 2014 Women Premier League.
He also, said that the team, for now would not know the next match to play. Whether any of the outstanding game or the week 16 fixtures.
It would be recalled that the team is on top of the league table with 27 points from 11 matches played so far in the competition.
