Rivers Angels Progress In Federation Cup …Beat COD FC 6-1

Port Harcourt yesterday, thrashed COD FC of Lagos State 6-1, to qualify for the quarter finals of the on-going 2014 Federation Cup at the Warri Township Stadium, Warri.
The exciting match saw the Angels having total control of the game as they played a tactical and entertaining football to the admiration of their fans and spectators.
The three times champions of the FA Cup (Angels FC) was all over the field as they attacked left right and centre in order to grab the three maximum points at stake in the yesterday’s match.
First half of the game ended 3-0 as Mercy Amanze, Orji Ebere and Cecillia Nku secured three goals for the team.
The goals came at the 7th, 10th and 35th minutes of the first half, respectively.
At the resumption of the second half, the Port Harcourt side sustained the tempo as they increased their goal tallies to six at the end of the 90 minutes regulation time.
Ebere Orji netted-in two goals at the 50th and 75th minute, while Cynthia Aku scored the last goal of the match at the 83th minute.
