Rep Institutes Free Medicare In PHALGA

of Representatives representing Port Harcourt Federal Constituency, Hon Blessing Nsiegbe has instituted a free medical programme for her constituency.
The programme which kicked off  last Monday, at Nkpolu/Oroworukwo Town Hall in Mile 3, Diobu and would cover the 10 wards in the constituency.
One of the programme co-ordiantors, Engr Kingsley CHinda who spoke to The Tide said the programme was free and particularly focused on malaria, Diabetes and High Blood pressure patients.
He said over 100 persons benefitted and said there was adequate awareness in the 10 wards of the constituency.
One of the beneficiaries, Elder Samuel Ihunwo described the initiative as laudable and a bail-out at a critical time when doctors were on strike.
Ihunwo said getting healthcare services at private clinics is so expensive that the ordinary man cannot afford it and remarked that malaria, HBP and Diabetes are critical issues.
Former Councillor of Port Harcourt Ward 17, Hon Bethel Amadi commended Hon Nsiegbe for the free medical programme, saying, it would go along way in assisting the people to deal with their health needs.
He enjoined other philanthropists and corporate organisations in the area to emulate the lawmakers gesture.
