Harcourt has reiterated its readiness to encounter COD FC of Lagos State in the on-going 2014 women confederation cup tomorrow at Warri township stadium.
Chief coach of the team Godwin Okon, said this Sunday, in an interview with Tidesports in Port Harcourt.
According to him, the team is set for this week’s FA competition assuring that, the players are determined to put up the best of their performance to ensure that they compete favourably.
The girls are in high spirit and intop form for this week’s fixtures with CoD FC, which is expected to be their first match of the tournament”, the head coach said.
Commenting further on the team’s readiness in the on-going 2014 Women Premier League (WPL), Oplon said that the team is yet to know their next match to be played, pointing out that, there were four outstanding matches, including the 12 to week 19 fixtures.
“Though, we do not know our next match for now, but before the week runs out, we should have the date for our next match and who to play against”, he said.
It was gathered that the Angels did not play in the first round of the FA competition, because they were on standby.
Tidesports also gathers that club, has not been playing national premier league fixtures due to absence of key players who were engaged in the super falcons friendly matches.
Meanwhile, Rivers Angels are leading the league table with 27 points from 11 matches played so far in the competition.
