Commission Destroys Broadcast Equipment In Enugu

rian Copyright Commission (NCC) last Thursday in Enugu, dismantled and destroyed cable wires and boosters worth N26.3 million.
The cable wires and boosters are used for illegal DSTV distribution of contents and signals within Enugu metropolis.
The Zonal Manager of the Commission in charge of South-east, Ngozi Okeke, made the disclosure while briefing newsmen at the end of a three-day raiding exercise touching on all the major areas of the state capital including Garki, Top-land, Achara layout, Agbani road, Uwani, CBN quarters and New Haven.
Though no arrest was made in the course of the exercise, the Zonal Manager disclosed that a policeman who attempted to obstruct the raid in Uwani was handed over to the Divisional Police Officer in the area.
She refused to give further details about the officer.
