College Graduates 8,838 Students 15 Years After

A total of 8,838 stu
dents of the Nasarawa State College of Agriculture, Lafia, have finally graduated after a 15 years wait.
Acting Provost of the College, Prof Mohammed Danlami Salihu who described the event as significant said the ceremony was made possible due to the resolve of the former governor of the state, Umaru Tanko Al-Makura for state owned  institutions to conduct convocation for its graduates, adding that he supported this with funding.
He praised the government for awarding contract for the construction of two new-250 capacity hostel accommodations for students of the college as well as laboratories.
He said the gesture has enhanced the college’s chances of being accredited by the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE).
The graduands included certificate, National Diploma and Higher National Diploma Programmes.
