19th NSF: Ekiti To Recruits Athletes

Council has directed the immediate recruitment of young talents to form a formidable state team ready for the 2014 National Sports Festival (NSF) in Calabar.
General Manager of the Sports Council, Mr Olukayode Adewunmi, disclosed this in an interview with newsmen in Ado-Ekiti on Monday.
Adewunmi said the National Sports Festival would be highly competitive because it was an open competition to sportsmen and women of different age groups.
He charged the chairmen of sports associations in the state to work hard in order to ensure that Ekiti excels at the sports festival.
“The state will be participating in most of the sporting events at the festival and talented youths will be required to win medals for the state.
“The association chairmen should not  hesitate to call for the council’s support whenever the need arises,’’ Adewunmi said.
The Sports Council general manager urged them not to relent in their efforts to drive sports to the next level in the state.
