Non-Indigenes Target 1m Votes For Rivers APC

The Coordinator of Non-Indigenes Political Forum (NIPF) in the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Rivers State, chief Uchenna Okokoba has said that the forum will deliver one million votes to the APC during the forthcoming general elections.
Okokoba, who said this in an interview with nessmen in Port Harcourt, shortly after their inauguration, said that the Forum was mobilizing all non-indigenes in Rivers State to register for the APC.
He said that the forum was also sensitizing them against travelling to their individual states during the 2015 elections.
Also speaking, the State Commissioner for Commerce and Industry, Mr. Chuma Chinye, said that Governor Chibuike Amaechi has done so much for non-indigenes in the state, stressing that presently, more than 10 non-indigenes have been appointed as Caretaker Committee members of local government councils in the state.
Chinye also said that the forum was inaugurated to coordinate and mobilize non-indigenes across the state to identify  with the APC as a prelude to voting massively during elections in the state.
The Commissioner further said that apart from making non-indigenes stakeholders in the state, the governor has also directed that the forum must be represented at the State Executive Council of the party.
Speaking during the inauguration, the State Secretary of the APC Chief Emeka Beke, advised them to go back and mobilize their people for the party.
Beke urged them to be courageous by standing firm so as to resist all forms of intimidation.
Highlight of the event was the inauguration of Chief Uchenna Okokoba as Chairman of the forum while High Chief Williams Ubaka as Chairman, Elders Forum.
