NCC, Nollywood Partner On Film Production

Communication Commission (NCC) has said that its partnership with the Nollywood industry was to enhance production in industry.
The executive chairman of NCC, Mr Eugene Juwa, said this to newsmen in Port Harcourt recently.
He said that the partnership was about capacity building and also to encourage the efforts of movie practitioners.
Juwa, expressed satisfaction with the level of growth in the movie industry, recounting how they have so far, helped in combating unemployment in the country.
He also pointed out marketing as one of the reasons for the partnership, saying that the commission was always ready to assist them.
Explaining further, he hinted that the NCC was committed in the area of partnership in a bid to collaborate with those that have clear vision on how best to move the country forward.
According to him, the initiative is also in recognition of their efforts in the area of communication and information monitoring for the nation.
Some nollywood practitioners who also spoke to our correspondent thanked the NCC for the partnership and promised to always produce movies that will project the image of the country.
They regretted that some similar agencies are yet to partner the industry, saying that the fight to better the country lies on every Nigerian.
Earlier, the NCC boss has warned against abuse of the gesture, adding that more packages would soon be rolled out as to enable them offer the best services to the country.
