Man, 18 Docked For Malicious Damage
A middle aged man,
Minikwu Dimkpa has been arraigned before a Port Harcourt Chief Magistrate Court presided over by I.F. Iyiabo for malicious damage and other criminal matters with charge sheet No PMC/990/2014.
The accused person, Minikwu Dimkpa, 18, is standing trial on three count charge, malicious damage, breach of peace.
The police prosecuting officer told the court that the accused person, Minikwu Dimkpa, 18, and others now at large on the 15th day of April, 2014 at Rundele Emohua in Port Harcourt Magistraterial District did conspired amongst themselves to commit felony to wit: malicious damage.
The police prosecuting officer also said that the accused person and others now at large on the same date and place in the afore said magistrate district did maliciously damage seven sheets of ceiling board value yet unknown property of Wori family in Rundele.
The prosecutor further told the court that the accused person and others now at large on the same date place in the aforesaid Magisterial District did conduct yourselves, in a manner likely to cause the breach of peace by marching around Rundele Community with gong and were singing war songs threatening to kill one Elder Okachi Minikwu and Chief Morgan C. Wori.
He averred that the accused person committed an offence punishable under Section 516A(a), 451 and 249(d) of the Criminal Code Cap 37 Laws of Rivers State of Nigeria, 1999. In his ruling on the matter, the presiding Chief Magistrate Court ll, I.F. Iyiabo granted the accused bail of N100,000, one surety in like sum. The surety will deposit two passport, swear affidavit of means and reside within Emohua Magisterial District.
The chief magistrate later transfer the case to Emohua Magisterial District for conveniences, adding that the state magistrate court rules empower him to do so.
