19th NSF: Rivers Athletes Optimistic Of Medal Haul

clude the first phase of camping for the forthcoming 19th National Sports Festival tagged “2014. Paradise Games,” scheduled 1 to take place in calabar, Cross River State, some athletes have expressed optimism that they would hit their target, if, adequate motivation is accorded to them.
An anonymous athletes who spoke to Tidesports in exclusive interview said that Rivers athletes were ready to bring out the best in them, if, necessary support and motivation would be given to them.
According to the athlete” Many of us are doing our part as athletes to ensure that necessary training is acquired, both, physically and theorifically, as individual and a team, inorder to get the desired result at the fiester.
“We need encouragement and support to get the right result, we are pleading with the state Government to motivate us adequately to enable us perform better when the 19th NSF, Finally commences.”
The First phase camping which lasted a month from 18th May to 18th June, endeded last Wednesday.
Meanwhile, the athletes are presently on break as the date for second phase camping is yet to be communicated to them.
It would be recalled that the state plans on holding three phase of camping as part of preparations for the national sports festival.
