Expert Wants Aggressive Approach To Security

A security expert in Rivers
State, Dr Enoch Onyeche has stressed the need for an aggressive security approach in the state and the country at large.
Onyeche who said this during an interview with The Tide in Port Harcourt recently, observed that the present security situation in the country required more serious measures, pointing out that the increasing spate of kidnapping and lawlessness in Rivers State called for more hands on deck.
He, lauded the State Commissioner of Police, Mr Johnson Ogunshakin for his efforts in curbing crime in the state and urged him to do more, especially now that the country is approaching another round of political activities for the 2015 general elections.
According to him, the state police boss has shown his ability to rid the state of criminal activities and tasked the people of the state to support the police by giving information and reporting suspicious characters in the society.
The security expert appreciated the State Governor, Rt Hon Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi for his detribalised posting describing him as a leader whose programmes and policies have impacted greatly on all residents of the state.
Onyeche noted that the leadership of the All Progressisve Congress (APC) in the state was made up of honest people capable of changing the fortune of the party, stressing that they are men who have been tested, trusted and proven to be leaders of the party and enjoined members to rally round the new leadership.
