Harcourt on the rampage against visiting Abia Warriors as they recorded a 3-0 win in their Week 10 game of the Glo Premier League played on Wednesday at the Liberation stadium, Port Harcourt.
The hosts took the tie to the visitors form the blast of the referee’s whistle, and Emem Eduok was unlucky not to open the scoring for Dolphins in the 10th minute, as his shot came off the post.
Ebube Okpokwu, however, struck for Dolphins in the 21st minute, after rising high to head home a cross from Emeka Atuloma.
Dolphins nearly increased their lead in the 33rd minute when Atuloma found himself unmarked in the opponents’ box, his header was however easily collected by Abia’s goalkeeper Joseph Onuoha.
Jonathan Zikiye eventually got the cushion goal for Dolphins, with his first ever strike for the club, to double their advantage going into the break.
Abia Warriors had a chance to pull a goal back, but Ifeanyi Onyeali blasted his shot over the bar from 12 yards.
Eduok eventually sealed the win for the hosts in the latter stages of the game after a brilliant solo run from the former Nigeria youth international.
