Police Arraign Driver For Breach Of Trust, Cheating

The police last Thursday
arraigned a driver, Shagari Kaduna, 28, in a Grade 1 Area Court, Aso Pada, Mararaba, Nasarawa State, for breach  of trust and cheating.
The prosecutor, PC Friday Adaji, told the court that Kaduna, who resides in Aso Pada, Mararaba, committed the offence on April 3.
He said the matter was lodged by Mr Okafor Ikechi of the same address at Aso Pada Police  Station on the same date.
Adaji said that on Jan. 3, Ikechi gave his Mercedes Truck to the accused to work with it and  remit N30,000 to him weekly.
He said the accused worked for two weeks and failed to remit N60,000 to the complainant.
The prosecutor said the offence contravened the Penal Code.
When the charges were read to him, the accused pleaded guilty.
The presiding judge, Mr Albert Maga, admitted the accused to bail for Nl 00,000 and two  sureties.
He ordered that the sureties must reside within the court’s jurisdiction and have traceable home  and work addresses.
