A founding member of
the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Rivers State, Chief Annabs Sara-Igbe, has challenged his alleged suspension, insisting  he remains a member of the party.
Sara-Igbe, along with three other party chieftains were suspended by the PDP two weeks ago  over their comments that the party had not adopted any candidate for the 2015 governorship election in the state.
The party in a statement issued by its chairman, Brother Felix Obuah, said the trio were not members of the party.
Sara-Igbe who spoke to newsmen in Port Harcourt last Tuesday said, “I am a member of the PDP. I will give you the details of the last exercise of the party in Rivers State.  Those who signed my membership card were Chief Uche Secondus, the then National Organizing Secretary; Agbaraje, national Secretary and my ward chairman ’’
Sara-Igbe disclosed that, he, along with Chief Alabo Graham Douglas, late Chief Francis Ellah, late Mashall Harry founded the PDP in Rivers State.
The PDP chieftain who insisted that things must be done according to the party’s constitution, said the zoning formula is very clear and that it was agreed among stakeholders that after the Orashi region,  where former Governor Peter Odili comes from, it would go to Ikwerre, Kalabari, Ogoni and other ethnic groups.
“The plan then was for all the groups in the state to taste the power of government’’, he said.
