NSE:Seplat Listing Bolsters Market Indicators

The performance of market
indicators at the Nigeria Stock Exchange (NSE) opened the week in up beat form as Seplat Petroleum Development Company listed on the floor of the Exchange, Monday.
The market capitalisation added N28 billion to closed higher at N12.834 trillion, compared to N12.554 trillion recorded at NSE on Friday at the close of trading.
Seplat Petroleum Development Company listed a total of 543.28 million units at N576 per share which boosted market capitalisation.
However, All-Share Index declined by 96.16 points to close lower at 38,987.50 points in contrast with 39.083.66 points being NSE statistics on Friday.
Investors traded a total of 188.24 million shares valued at N1.52 billion which exchange hands in 3,667 deals.
The figure contrasted with 274.05 million shares worth N3.99 billion traded in 4.407 deals by  investors on Friday.
Share volume lost 85.81 million while the value of traded equities depreciated by N2.47 billion.
Forte Oil topped the gainers’ chart after gaining N13.72 per share to close at N148.99 per share.
UAC Property followed with 50K gain per share to close at N25.60 per share.
On the other hand, Conoil topped the losers table after losing N2.59 to close at N49.31 per share, followed by Mobil which lost N1.99 to close at N122 per share.
FCMB was the most patronised with 30.52 million shares worth N106.83 million.
