Maigari Inaugurates FIFA Course
The beehive of
educational activities going on at the Nigeria Football Federation is set to continue as the Federation commenced this year’s Fifa Member Associations course in Abuja recently.
The course which is meant for elite referees, technical instructors, referee assessors and physical fitness instructors is being organised by the Nigeria Football Federation with the assistance of world football-governing body, Fifa.
The five-day course is taking place at the Velodrome of the National Stadium Complex, Abuja and will be declared open by NFF President, Alhaji Aminu Maigari.
FIFA sent a powerful team of experts in the field, led by Referees Development Officer Carlos Henrique from Gabon, and including renowned former Fifa referee Lee Kim Chong from Mauritius and Boubakar Hannachi from Tunisia.
Former Nigerian FIFA referee Sani Zubairu is Coordinator of the programme which will have seven technical instructors, 37 referee assessors, 14 physical fitness instructors and 30 elite referees in attendance as participants.
