The Nigeria Squash
Federation (NSF) has said the body was still shopping for more sponsors for the forthcoming Africa Squash Championships.
The President of the federation, Adamu Erena, told newsmen in Lagos that preparation for the event was ongoing.
The championships would hold from May 4 to 9 at the Abuja National Stadium.
Erena said not less than 15 African countries had signified their intention to participate in the event.
“We are gearing up for the event and we are still looking out for more sponsors. There is still a lot that can be done.
“We need to ensure that we make the invited countries comfortable, in all ramifications.
“There is also the need to motivate our players too. The federation can not do all these on its own. So, we appeal to all well-meaning Nigerians and corporate bodies to come and partner with us,” Erena said.
Erena had in an earlier interview promised tax rebates for corporate sponsors.
