Going by the 2013
report in the Nigerian movie industry, called Nollywood, the hottest in demand in Awka, Asaba and Enugu, was Mercy Johnson. Not only was she the highest paid actress but the biggest choice for lead roles by producers and marketers.
However, recent report has it that right now, the producers are gunning for Ini Edo as the most preferred. She is also commanding a very hot fee and has been very busy since the past few months
Coming very close to her, is Rivers State-born screen goddess, Tonto Dike, who is rated highly by the producers and favourite of movie watchers.
Apart from these A-list actresses, others have equally made Nollywood proud in global pedestrial. One of the outstanding figures is the talented actress, Omotola Jalade Ekeinde. The Ondo State-born actress, singer and philanthropist, has been a pioneer in Nollywood and the most watched actress in Africa.
Since her Nollywood film debut in 1995, she has appeared in outstanding over 300 films selling millions of video copies.
