Rep Ngwu Empowers 349 Constituents

people from Igbo-Etiti/Uzo-Uwani Federal Constituency in Enugu State have received empowerment equipment from their representative in the National Assembly, Rep. Stella Ngwu.
The equipment included power generating sets of different sizes, sewing machines, clippers, grinding machines and wheel barrows.
Our correspondent reports that the constituents gathered in their thousands for the constituency forum in Ogbede, headquarters of Igbo-Etiti Local Government Area, for the distribution of the equipment.
Ngwu, who spoke at the occasion, said the beneficiaries were selected by party stakeholders and traditional rulers.
She said that the wheel barrows were for rural women to aid them in moving their farm produce from the farm to the market.
The representative also enumerated the projects she attracted to the constituency which, included boreholes, solar street lights, power transformers and rural roads.
She said she had also given bursary awards to at least 200 indigent secondary and tertiary students nominated by party and community leaders in the constituency.
Those empowered, included ward party officials, local government party officials and other youths and women.
Also, a former National Chairman of the Peoples’ Democratic Party, Dr Okwesilieze Nwodo, advised politicians to strive to touch lives while in office so that their names would remain indelible in the minds of the people.
Nwodo said the House of Representatives members had demonstrated humility in the way she touched lives and distributed her constituency projects in the two local government areas.
On his part, a one-time commissioner in the old Anambra, Chief Maximus Ukuta, thanked Ngwu for being a good party member.
