Poor Scoring Ability Worries Sharks Coach

The technical adviser of
Sharks FC of Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Gbenga Ogunbote has described the inability of the players to utilise scoring opportunities as a major source of concern for the coaching crew.
He stated this shortly after Sharks FC played goalless draw with Heartland FC of Owerri, at the weekend.
He expressed dissatisfaction over loss of clear scoring chances by Sharks players during the weekend’s encounter with Heartland of Owerri.
“I was worried because if I want to be a champion You must not be wasteful, we would have wrapped it up in the 20th minute because we had glaring goal opportunity,” Ogunbote stated.
The technical adviser explained that he had commenced serious work on the team, adding that we would not be tired until the desired result was achieved.
However, he attributed the last minute pressure on his side to the collapse of the midfield.
“I was comfortable at that point believing that we will not make a careless mistake and we were trying to block because we lost the midfield and Heartland FC kept on pumping the ball so we had to block every of their moves in the vital areas to ensure that we did not concede a goal, he added.
