Chairman, EDSOGPADEC, Mr Vincent Uwadia, made this promise during interview with newsmen  in Benin.
“EDSOGPADEC has more than 30 projects in various stages of completion, including the 10-kilometre Oduna-Ewedu-Iboro-Ekenwan road in Ovia North East Local Government Area.
“Most of these projects have reached 75 per cent completion stage; but the failed portions of Ugbiyokho road have for long retarded progress in the oil producing areas.
“With the completion of the rehabilitation of Ugbiyokho road, the commission will in four weeks’ time, invite the governor to inaugurate 30 projects in Oduna ward”, he said.
Uwadia stressed that good road network would facilitate development in the oil producing communities.
Uwadia restated the importance of roads in transforming the rural areas in the state, especially the oil producing communities.
The chairman said that it was in realisation of this that the commission embarked on many road projects in the oil bearing communities of EDO, pointing out that some of them were nearing completion.
The Manager, Riucon Construction Engineering, Mr Louai Chahin, told newsmen  that the rehabilitation of the Ugbiyokho portion of the road would be completed in the next four weeks.
“We have completed the filling and the culvert. The drainage has been completed.
“We want to assure the community who have been very cooperative with us that the rains will no longer disturb us at this stage of our work’’, Chahin said.
