Okpala is demanding the full payment of his entitlements after his contract was abruptly termination of his contract which was meant to come to an end in 2014.
“The NFF has appointed lawyers to represent them during the mediation with Okpala at the CAS,” a source was quoted to have said.
Okpala was sacked on April 1, 2013 “as a consequence of the NFF’s inability to continue to maintain a 17-man technical/backroom staff for the Super Eagles, due to limited financial resources”, according to the termination letter sent to him by the NFF.
Prior to his dismissal, Okpala’s bonuses were slashed by 50 percent, while other members of the technical crew received their full entitlements.
