Nadia Buari Emerges Best African Actress 2014 …As Omoni Oboli Wins Best Actress In Nigeria
Ghanaian actress, who
has also featured in several Nollywood movies, Nadia Buari, has emerged the best African actress of 2014 in Accra, Ghana, during the recently concluded African Achievers Award.
The screen goddess who has rewarded various exploits in the make-believe industry has also released her latest movie titled, Diary Of Imogen Brown is a most watch for movie buffs.
Meanwhile, Omoni Oboli has been declared the best actress in Nigeria ahead of fellow A-list actresses such as Omotola Jaladi Ekeinde, Ini Edo, Genevieve Nnaji and Funke Akindele, among others.
According to the producer and director of the new movie, Render to Caesar, Desmond Ovbiagele and celebrated movie editor, Steve Shodiye, most times, Omoni’s scenes are used to clean up other actor’s scenes. Desmond said, as far as he was concerned, Omoni Oboli is the best for the roles she played in Render to Caeser, Anchor Baby and Figurine. He stressed that no actor could have played such roles the way she did.
Omoni Oboli in a few years has earned her place among the A-listers in Nollywood. She hit the limelight with her emotional wrenching performance in Anchor Baby and Figurine. Her other movies include: Entanglement, Best Arrows, Fatal Imagination, Deep Inside Brother’s Keeper, being Mrs Elliot, Dining With A Lonely Spoon, Feathered Dreams etc.
