Mama Gee Explains Her Evil Roles In Movies

popularly known as Mama Gee in Nollywood does not need any introduction in Nigeria’s thriving movie industry.  The popular actress who went into full acting after the death of her husband shared her experiences with the press where she explained the reason why she plays the roles of an evil and bad woman in most of her movies.
According to the A-list Nollywood actress, she reaches a greater number of people and if she plays the role of a bad woman she is only telling the world that it is not good to be bad.  She stressed that Nollywood acts are known for staunts, romance, bad boys and girls, gigolo and so on, but she has her roles as her strong point and people should know that she has something to play.
She explained that it was when she was growing up that she thought that she might get hurt or be hated for playing those roles, but she never. It was even going to make her popular and loved.  Mama Gee who was recently honoured by President Goodluck Jonathan with Nigeria’s Centenary award noted that in the roles she plays most times are vibrant and make people want to watch all her movies.
“Even if I play the role of a good woman now, my fans will start complaining and if your fans start complaining that they do not want you in a particular  role, it makes the producers want to give me those bad woman roles the more, I don’t  ask for them, the producers just give me the roles”, she said.
According to her, it is not easy to play bad roles at all times, it is not easy to cry and shout on set at the same time when it is not your normal self.
