Keshi Courts Anichebe For S’Eagles

Keshi has said that  he was in talks with West Bromwich Albion striker Victor Anichebe as he seeks to convince him to end his international self-exile.
Anichebe made himself unavailable for international selection after suffering an injury while on a Nations Cup qualifying duty with Nigeria.
He has since shown pleasing form with West Brom, and Keshi is hoping to persuade him to return.
“I have spoken to Victor Anichebe and we are still talking,” Keshi told newsmen.
“I told him that the World Cup comes only once in four years and missing this year may be the end for him.”
Keshi is however unsure if the 25 year old will bite, “He may change his mind. If he does, we may give him a chance in our build-up to the World Cup and take it from there.”
