Daddy Showkey Lambasts Wizkid, Others

soldier, Daddy Showkey has lambasted music star, Wizkid and other young artistes as arrogant. He said that he will not like to work with them.
According to the “Galala Master’ who spoke with journalists at the recently concluded Silvabird Bird man of the year award which had heavy weights in the entertainment industry and political circles as well as in Diaspora in attendance.
In would be recalled that Daddy Showkey’s story of grass to grace started only in 1990 when along with a group of boys in the Ghetto of Ajegunle, formed a band called “Sexy Pretty Boys” and debunked with an album titled “Biggy Belle” which was a huge commercial success after which he existed from the music industry, while his numerous fans missed his absence.
Daddy Showkey last year decided to return to the music scene after a long hiatus. The reggae maestro was forced to temper an assassin’s bullet two times in 2011. In one of the attacks the suspected killers stormed his former residence in Ojodu and killed one of his close associates who were visiting at the time.
The dreadlocked Daddy Showkey Through his music has done so much to draw attention to the sorry state of his place of birth, Ajegunle and his efforts had resulted in publicizing the plight of Ajegunle to the average Nigerian and to government and non-governmental agencies.
As a result, many NGOs have centred their efforts on improving living standards of Ajegunle residents. He was also been a role model to children and has been recognised worldwide for his activities in fostering activities that benefit children.
Daddy Showkey has been a multiple award winner including Best Artist in Nigeria in 1995 among other awards in music and other areas. John Odafe Asiemo, aka Daddy Showkey became widely popular for “Diana” and “Somebody Call My Name” was also a Glo Ambassador for years. The Galala messenger and music legend has remained a household name since 1990 when he started playing music.
