Assembly Warns Against Distortion Of Master Plan
The Bauchi State House
of Assembly has warned against the distortion of the Bauchi master plan, saying the action is unacceptable.
This is contained in a statement made available to newsmen in Bauchi.
The release that was signed by Alhaji Lamara Chinade, Director Information of the Assembly, said Chairman Lands and Housing Committee of the House, Alhaji Baba Suleman, gave the warning during a tour of some sites in Bauchi.
It said the legislator called for a stop to indiscriminate allocation of plots to people without recourse to the master plan.
It also said that a team, led by the chairman of the committee, had gone round some development sites in Bauchi and found that people were building on water pipes, water ways and encroaching on lands without official permit.
“We noticed during the visit that there is reckless disregard for town planning and falsification of documents to claim possession of government plots,” the statement said.
