ABOLGA Begins Registration For 2014 Unity Cup, Female Soccer

Registration for the 5th
edition of Abua/Odual Local Government (ABOLGA) Unity Cup 2014 has commenced.
The Chairman of the Local Organising Committee (LOC), Deacon D. C. Solomon said the sales of form commenced last Monday and it is expected to end on 31st May 2014, advising interested teams and clubs to obtain forms at Sunny Hotel, Abua Central.
He further explained that the Unity Cup is organised in collaboration with the Abua Football Association, the first female soccer competition adding that the registration forms are also on sale.
He also appealed to female teams and clubs in the area to obtain forms at the same venue.
The LOC Chairman promised that the 2014 ABOLGA Unity Cup would be better than previous year’s adding that the aim of the competition is to promote soccer and discover talents in the area.
He noted that the overall objective is to occupy the youths and keep them out of violent activities.
He said that the All Stars, ABOLGA chapter decided to collaborate with the Abua Football Association to organise the First Female Soccer competition in the local government to discover female talents for the country’s female team.
