2014 W/Cup:Beating Iran Vital For S’Eagles – NFF

Federation General-Secretary, Musa Amadu, believes that beating Iran in the opening game of the 2014 World Cup will set the tone for their progression at the world showpiece.
In a chat with newsmen, Amadu reiterated the importance of getting a win against Iran saying the result will put the Eagles in a better position to progress.
“It is critically important that we win our first game against Iran that will indicate to us whether we will move forward or not.” Amadu stated.
Nigeria are in Group F at the World Cup with Iran, Bosnia-Herzegovina and Argentina.
The Eagles face Iran in their opening match on June 16, then Bosnia-Herzegovina on June 21 and Argentina in the final group match on June 25.
