of Port Harcourt, Gbenga Ogunbote said  that the club was already in intense preparations for the 2013/2014 Globacom Premier League season.

Globacom Premier League 2013/2014 season would start on February 22 as announced by the League Management Committee (LMC).

The announcement was made after a meeting with the 20 clubs in the league on January 13 in Abuja.

Sharks FC impressive build up to the new season continued with a 1-1 draw against 2013 Federation Cup Champions, Enyimba International FC in Aba on February 2.

According to him, the team is taking the preparations in its stride and hoped to be 100 per cent ready when the league kicks off.

“We are doing our best with pre-season games; we hope to be fully ready for the season.

“In the coming weeks, we will have a few pre-season games which is part of the bid to strengthen the team,’’ Ogunbote said.

The head coach also said that he anticipated a hitch-free season full of improvement by the LMC.

“I look forward to a fluid season with everything under control by the LMC and I have no worry that Sharks FC will do fine in the 2013/2014 season.

“The players in turn are physiologically and physically ready for the new season,’’ Ogunbote said.
